Band

Radio For Help may have been dubbed by some media as “Edmonton’s next act to break through on a national level”, but the band hasn’t taken that for granted. They are focused on winning over new fans, media and critics, one concert and one song at a time.

That being said, the members of Radio For Help do have their sights set on taking their local success to the national stage. Since 2006, the band has developed their unique modern sound by meshing catchy pop pageantry with the energy and enthusiasm of late 90’s rock. One might compare their sound to a game of Olympic Freeze Tag where Katy Perry and The All American Rejects square off against the Goo Goo Dolls and Everclear (Don’t worry we’re not really sure who would win either).

The success of their albums “Hereafter” and “You Don’t Wanna Miss This” has earned them rotation on commercial Edmonton radio stations 102.3 NOW! and SONiC 102.9, as well tour dates along side Stereos and The Midway State. In 2010, Radio For Help released their first music video for “It’s Not Me, It’s You”. It’s clever storyline stimulated conversation among fans and viewers, resulting in the video becoming the 18th Most Discussed Video in Canadaon YouTube for the month of May. It was also nominated for an Edmonton Music Award for Best Video.

Radio For Help has had the opportunity to play alongside such notable acts as Alexisonfire, Anberlin, GOB, illScarlet, State of Shock, Sloan, Stereos, Tokyo Police Club and more. The band will release their 3rd full length album “Make Today” on October 18, 2011.
